A Little About Me
Photography started for me with a love of the great outdoors and capturing landscapes. There’s something special about being out in nature, watching a sunset, heading off on a wild camping adventure or discovering a quiet spot away from the everyday hustle with my Newfoundland Dog Ebby and Shipoo Dolly. Over time, though, I discovered a new passion: capturing people, their personalities, and the moments that make life unique.
Portrait photography has opened up a whole new world for me, and I love being able to capture genuine connections, natural expressions, and the little details that tell your story. Whether it’s couples, families, pet’s, special occasions, or simply celebrating you, my aim is to create photographs that feel natural, candid, personal, and full of character.
From Shy to Behind the Camera
Believe it or not, I used to be quite shy. After six years with my wonderfully extroverted wife, I’ve definitely come out of my shell a little! Being around someone who brings so much positivity into a room has helped me become more confident and sociable and those qualities have carried over into my photography.
I understand that being in front of a camera can feel a little awkward, especially if you’re not used to it. That’s why I want every shoot to feel relaxed, enjoyable, and completely you. There’s no pressure to pose perfectly or know what to do. I’ll promise to guide you along the way, put you at ease and leave you wondering what you were so anxious about, as long as you excuse my awful jokes while I’m trying to bring out the laughter.
Taking the Next Step
After spending years working in construction, I’m ready to turn my passion for photography into something more. This is more than just taking pictures for me; it’s about building a working life I genuinely love, meeting wonderful people, hearing their individual stories and knowing that I’ve given someone something that will mean the world to them for years to come.
Whether I’m capturing the beauty of the outdoors, the connection between two people, or the excitement of a special celebration, I want my photographs to tell a story. Your story. So, if you’re looking for someone who loves a bit of adventure, doesn’t take life too seriously, and wants to capture your moments in a natural, relaxed and meaningful way, I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s make some memories worth keeping.
My favourite things
Outside of photography, you’ll usually find me outdoors somewhere, planning my next camping trip, watching films or heading to the theatre with my wife, or making a fuss over pretty much every dog I come across. If there’s a dog nearby, chances are I’ve already said hello!
I’m also a massive food lover, and I have a bit of a weakness for sweets. Let’s just say self-control isn’t always my strongest quality when there’s sugar involved!
I own a 1996 Mazda MX-5 MK1, which I absolutely love… even if it does seem to have a never-ending list of things that need fixing. It keeps me busy, keeps my wallet on its toes, and gives me something to tinker with when I’m not behind the camera. Much to the dismay of my other half.
